Return to Madrid and back to LA





This was our final full day in Spain. We had breakfast at our hotel. They omelettes at this hotel are unlike any we have ever had. They were unbelievably fluffy and light. At breakfast when I ordered one, I asked the waitress if we could go in the kitchen and watch. They said sure. We watched the morning chef create the omelettes. The secret was he beat the eggs both by hand and with a mixer until the eggs were fluffy like a soufflé. Good trick. I will try it at home.

 

We took the train from Barcelona to Madrid and returned to our favorite Madrid Hotel: The Principal. They had a much-needed bottle of Champagne waiting for us in our room.

 

After drinking it, we walked to Roostiq and our 3rd meal of this trip.

The food is obviously excellent, we love the restaurant. 

 

This is the last blog We fly out tomorrow to return to LA. It has been a great trip and way to celebrate Cathy’s 75th. Spain is wonderful. If I only could speak Spanish, but language really isn't a problem, many people here speak English.
